Lusoma was born out of both passion and frustration.
A passion for the incredible work that local organizations across the Global South are doing to create real change.
And frustration at watching that work happen inside a system stacked against it; a social sector that remains undervalued, under-resourced, and fragmented, shaped more by external agendas than by the realities on the ground. Even organizations thriving publicly and earning global recognition were often caught in cycles of dependency they never chose, with too little room to lead on their own terms.
